Volunteers and partnerships make the Sanctuary possible. Meet Andy, the Sanctuary's Principal Volunteer Steward. Andy found his love for plants growing up on the edge of the South Mountain Reservation. After studying plant ecology in the hollows of western North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains, he returned to NJ in 2019. By great good fortune he found the NPS, where he has been wrestling down honeysuckle and knotweed ever since.
